• Novembre / November 2008 - Mauro GIULIANI: La Chasse (cliquez) ; Véritable poème symphonique, y sont évoqués tour à tour les trompes (avec leur sonorité taïautée), la meute, la biche innocente, la danse villageoise, la poursuite, le hallali... / An accurate depiction of a hunting session, with hornets, the pack of staghounds, the poor doe, the village dance, the mort....
• Août / August 2008 - Roland DYENS : Tango en skaï (cliquez) ; la sensualité perpétuelle / The perpetual Argentine sensuality.
• Juillet / July 2008 - Mario CASTELNUOVO-TEDESCO : J'ai du bon tabac (cliquez) ; il s'agit ici de la fugue finale d'une grande suite humoristique qui ne laisse aucun public de marbre. C'est dans les années 30 qu'un critique musical de Genève relate ainsi le récital que vient d'y donner Andrès Segovia : "Même s'il jouait "J'ai du bon tabac", ce serait magique !". Le grand compositeur italien a relevé le défi... / This is the final fugue based on a French Folk song ("I''ve got good tobacco"), concluding a humoristic suite fo which no audience gave me the cold shoulder. In the 30s, a musical critic in Geneva wrote that, even if Segovia performed "J'ai du bon tabac", it would be superb anyhow. The great Italian composer took the challenge...
• Juin / June 2008 - à la Bellini (cliquez) (anonyme / anonymous - arr. Giorgio Pezzoli, 1897-1957) ; une oeuvre majeure, d'une étonnante suavité - manuscrit retrouvé dans un grenier - mais qui était donc ce mystérieux Pezzoli ? Et où avait-il pêché ce splendide thème ? / A major work, a sweet heartbreaker - this manuscript was found in an attic - but who was this mysterious Pezzoli who signed the arrangement?
